This area combines the immensity of the open sea and its intense surf with the peacefulness of the lagoon. Visitors have the choice of swimming in either; this is where fresh and salt-water come together. Talla-style Fish is a recipe which originates from this area—just walk into any of the restaurants here and order it. Many visitors to this beautiful location choose to rent horses, or to rent small boats and row through the mangrove swamps.
We stayed at the hyatt, dont take the cabs at the hotel, walk outside your hotel to take a cab and make a deal with the guy before he takes you. we ended up paying 50 american dollars for the hotel cab to take us there and wait for us. We later found out we could have paid half that had we taken it outside. Once you get to barra vieja you will love the waves and the food. all the fish they serve is fresh and you get to pick your ouw fish you want cooked, served with rice beans and hand made tortillas! yumm..it was worth the drive. all for $25 bucks for 5 of us!!
Its a long drive from the city or wherever your staying... but defiantely worth it, my family and i ahve been going to acapulco since i was 1 year old now im 17 and this beach was nice huge waves and there were dolphins swimming 5 feet away from me! wild ones!
