A motion simulation theater whisks passengers into space on educational journeys to the moon, the planets and beyond. If you want a real look at the stars, a 16-inch telescope housed in a 22-foot dome. LodeStar is an absolute gem. It bills itself as 'your friendly neighborhood planetarium' (I love that slogan) and it's true, although perhaps not inclusive enough of all they do. It's immersive digital dome theater (aka planetarium) shows inspire, entertain and educate. The exhibits intrigue, the telescope observatory is way cool and that's not all. When we visited there were all kinds of special shows in the dome theater--like immersive digital art shows and fractal lectures--and things happening in the exhibit spaces. Check it out now and often. I know my family will.
