Pretty good presentation of the history of Albuquerque and occasional excellent traveling exhibits -- but, other than that, the Albuquerque Museum seems to be a typical small city space that features little known local artists and a mix of obscure wanna be avant garde pieces -- combined with a very good representation of New Mexico 20th century art and occasional bits and pieces of excellence. It's catch as catch can -- probably worth a visit unless your other choice is the museums in Santa Fe. Lighting is often problemmatic and spectator flow can be a downright traffic jam. On an off day, the visit can be quite pleasant.
