Overview

Madame Tussaud Scenerama is housed in a very large building in the center of Amsterdam. It is spread over four floors. An entire section is devoted to Dutch history, and more specifically, the history of Amsterdam. Many European celebrities, sports figures, artists and royalty are present to greet guests (in wax at least). There is a section with contemporary Hollywood stars and another devoted to famous historical figures such as Gandhi and Einstein. Those who fancy standing hand in hand or cheek-to-cheek with your favorite movie star, politician or sport star, this is the place for you. A camera is useful - this is a once in a lifetime encounter.

Not Outstandingby Yahoo | 2008-03-02 22:02:38 |

this musesum is just like every other one not worth your money the figures were very life like though way to many people and it was not very clean

Poor valueby Yahoo | 2008-01-13 20:31:57 |

Last morning & we decided to visit Madam Tussuad's but were disappointed. It starts well with Old Amsterdam but all too rapidly progresses to modern day celebrities. There were few visitors at the time and we found directions poorly marked.

And you can touchby Yahoo | 2007-01-18 17:43:33 |

I loved it! You are free to touch and pose with all the figures. You are free to walk through at your own pace.I had a great time, took so many pictures.Worth every euro!I would recommend going when there are no lines outside,so you won't be crowded out...Make sure you visit a coffee shop first! It's more fun buzzed...

Worth a Lookby Yahoo | 2007-01-08 14:35:08 |

I found it interesting and worth going through the museum. Lots of wax figures - some a good likeness but others not so good. The figures look real. The Dutch history information was a bonus. It was fun having photos taken with various film stars. No restriction on taking photos.

Fun Mueseumby Yahoo | 2006-05-08 21:57:45 |

Not as expectedby Yahoo | 2006-02-20 13:30:18 |

We visited the museum on November and after having visited the same museum in London, i must say that the same in Amsterdam was really poor. The wax statues were rather cheap and didn't looked alive at all. There was not variety of statues, e.g they had too many Dutch ancestors instead of having worldwide personalities. Also the terror live, is not terror at all. I must say that it is not recommended to visit the museum, especialy if you have visited the one in London before, you will be dissapointed.

They look soo realby Yahoo | 2005-03-28 19:23:41 |

Really great, I got a complimentary 8x10 pic. There's like 3 floors. Alot of dutch history though also mixed with other. Fasinating how real. I've been to the one in Vegas, this one has much more!
