Overview

One of the oldest Irish pubs in Amsterdam, it's always ablaze with cheer and fun. There are Irish staples such as Guinness and Kilkenny on tap, as well as a large selection of Irish whiskies. The live music, which is mostly Celtic based, is played by Irish musicians four times a week. Every Sunday there's an open stage for Irish music, where amateur musicians are welcome to join in, and every second Monday of the month the MacSuibhne Dancers perform and everyone can participate. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is lively and cozy.

New Years Eve at Mulligansby Yahoo | 2007-01-09 21:40:14 |

After deciding to spend the new year in the Dam we were told about the great party and fireworks at Dam Square and thought that would be the place to be come midnight. So after a fine meal in a lovely French restuarant off Rembrandt Square we dropped into Mulligans for a couple of pints before heading to the square. Well to say the place was jumping does'nt do justice! We luckily nabbed a few seats at a table near the band and proceeded to have a rare ol' time along with good pints of Guiness and Jamesons whiskey. We made a lot of new friends and the "craic" was terrific. Needless to say we did'nt make the square so we'll just have to go back again, although I doubt we'll make it far past the pub!
