This is what Southern food is all about. Sister restaurant to the more famous Fat Matt's Rib Shack, the Chicken Shack sits just north of the fashionable Midtown hotels, but would look more at home on some lonely country highway. A few tables are assembled inside if you wish to linger or you can take your feast over to the patio at the Rib Shack across the parking lot. Fried chicken reigns, but shrimp, clams, onions and various other goodies receive the royal deep-battered treatment too. You won't find better fried food in Atlanta or anywhere else.
