never, ever, EVER again!!!!!!by Yahoo | 2008-12-18 17:53:02 |

Well, how would you feel if you spent $1000 PER PERSON per night and then HAVE to carry your OWN luggage to something that resembles Granny's cabin in the woods? The food was NOTHING spectacular, heated up and served, kinda like a cruise. The staff were lazy and not at all friendly or helpful, this goes for the spa front desk also. It was like everyone was just doing whatever they needed to do to get by....well, I can get that at a Marriott!! Save your money, go to Europe! Seriously! It was not worth the time or money. I totally would not recommend it to friends!! I left a day early, of course, they charged me....would you expect anything less?? If you want a wonderful spa experience, try Miraval, Canyon Ranch, The Boulders, La Costa, they are all lovely. Or if you HAVE to go here, check out the spa and stay at the Four Seasons or the super groovy San Jose Hotel in Austin. You'll pay 2/3 less and get the experience without going camping!

Extremely Overpricedby Yahoo | 2007-12-26 06:19:38 |

The pictures online were nice, so I decided to visit. However, I was greatly disappointed. The rooms were filthy, the boutiques, were cheap and tacky, and the staff was awful- not at all what I was hoping for at $800.00 a day. One staff member ended up selling me something with glycolic acid EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ROSACEA, and when I spoke to the rude, gray haired manager, she wouldn't even let me return it!! You'd be better going off to your local shopping center "med spa".

AMAZINGby Yahoo | 2007-06-07 17:09:46 |

From the service to the rooms it was well worth it!!!!!

Overpricedby Yahoo | 2007-01-10 23:20:15 |

Have been lucky enough to spend time at luxury resorts around the world, and this spa was extraordinarily average. When you factor in the ridiculously high cost, this borders on criminal. Save yourself the frustration and stay at a Four Season w/ spa services. Seriously.

Over prices resortby Yahoo | 2006-05-02 16:57:17 |

I've been to many resorts and can easily say that Lake Austin Spa Resort is just merely average. While the food was good considering it was healthy, the rooms where lacking cleanliness. Many times over I had to ask for them to wipe down my floor. Getting scheduled into the spa for my services was a headache. No one at the front desk seemed to know what they where doing. On the weekends they're over crowded and it seems they compensate by over booking their guests. Not very great for us, the resort guests. My friend got some sort of pumpkin treatment and broke out with red spots by the time we got back in the room. She couldn't help but wonder if they used canned pumpkin for this treatment. She uses canned fruits in her baking and the only thing she ever had an allergic reaction to was the canned pumpkin. She's a regular little betty crocker when it comes to baking so now I'm wondering how high class the spa's products really are. I wouldn't go back for the reason it was way over priced, the rooms where okay, but not luxurious enough for that rate.

Highly recommendby Yahoo | 2005-07-21 01:56:44 |

Liked the staff, very professional. Spa treatments were excellent and did not feel uncomfortable what so ever.
