the night life in 6th street is superb.you can get a lot of bar with live music concert.it a nice place have go around and have fun. Abhijit

awesome night life... alot of the bars you can go in and out of and theres no cover charge so you basically pay for drinks... when we got tired of walking up and down we went to one club and paid a cover and just stayed there the whole night. you can stand out side each club and hear the music they plan so you kind of know what kind of bar it is.... but overall i love sixth street!!!

Going back to the 60's and 70's when Guadalupe was "the drag", Austin's live music scene seems to get pigeon-holed into one strip, which it most definitely is not. Spend some time on 6th, sure, but venture out to Antone's, Threadgill's, the Broken Spoke, and the Continental Club, just to name a few. I echo all the other comments about Austin's cool, etc. just don't think 6th St. should be considered the epicenter of that.

Great clubs where Live music is the norm, and not too many DJ'd music which end up being Hip Hop Dance Clubs. Best time to go is when South By Southwest Musical Festival is occuring. For about $50, you can go to just about any club and see great up and coming bands or bands on the fringe of making it before they get signed.

I love the mountain like features. The drive into the mall was even impressive. Their's a plethora of terrain features for your new home. 6th street's off the chain!

It rocked! Tons of bars, tattoo shops, souvenier stores, and restaurants side-by-side for several blocks. Got a little crowded and rowdy at night, but a great experience.

i admit the first couple of times it was fun but what do you do new after you've been there for the 5th time? The scene is horrible. drunk college students 3/4 not good looking at all.

I Moved To Texas For A Short While This Year And Everyone Told Me Since I Was Here I Would Hav To Go To E.6th Street. So I Went And I Must Say...It Is Live!! Its Flooded With Clubs And Bars...Just A Great Night Scene On 6th Street. But The Best Night Out There Was Halloween! It Was Overan With So Many Costumes (real creatives ones) And Different People. Just From Any Stand Point On 6th Street You Was Able To Hear Hip Hop, Rock, Tajano, and R & B Music Blaring. It All Added To The Fun Of That One Street. I Cant Wait To Get Back To Texas To Hit 6th Street!

I have never had more fun than I did when I visited Austin!! Every night there was always something to do! But I would have to say the most exciting thing was Sixth Street!

6th street is a great place to spend a Saturday night, browsing through the many bars and clubs. You can find your type of music and people at one of the various places to party!
