Please avoid the tiny room!!by Yahoo | 2009-05-19 18:21:26 |

Great location and service, but I booked a single queen room and was placed in a broom closet. No kidding - it was probably 10'x10'. Very unpleasant and $250 smackers to boot. Please check with the Hotel prior to arrival to make sure you aren't pigeon-holed into this envelope/room. I've been in larger rooms in Japan.

Clean but Tiny room for the moneyby Yahoo | 2008-04-21 04:17:56 |

The room was very small, with so little room for my wife and I to put anything. No counter space in the bathroom, only one bedside table, and little room to leave your suitcase. Pool and hot tub OK but small. Parking was $6 underground. Sure it was clean, well located, and had pleasant staff but I believe a 3 star hotel would be a better value. We paid $145 without tax which was a coupon deal apparently 25% off of rack rate. Specifically, you can stay at a 3 star in Canmore for under $100 or down the block for about $125 if you get the right deal. If you want to get the deluxe rooms, probably get more space but at a higher price point, which would get you in at the Banff Springs or RimRock.

nice hotelby Yahoo | 2005-07-19 01:36:52 |

This is a nice hotel but slightly out of the way. You have to drive into town from this property. It is very clean and has a nice pool and jacuzzi. It is high priced as are many of the Banff hotels. The parking is difficult to maneuver underground around tight turns. The staff is young and inexperienced.

My Favorite Hotelby Yahoo | 2005-05-19 12:03:23 |

This place is gorgeous, the amenities are awesome, and the rooms are well-appointed, but what really makes this place special is the service. These people will go above and beyond for you, and they strive to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The Grotto Spa was very cool indeed, talk about a romantic getaway! It is a short walk to town and that might turn off some people, but keep in mind that once the sun goes down, the town gets LOUD!
