Overview

This popular spot is a relaxing beach haven by day and a nightclub with live entertainment by night. Beach activities include kayaks, ocean trampolines, slide games and more. As the sun sets, this becomes a favourite happy-hour stop for Bajans leaving work. As night descends, guests party hearty to scintillating DJ mixes and live entertainment by local bands. If you work up an appetite, the South Deck Grill, open for lunch and dinner, offers an array of salads, seafood, pasta and sandwiches. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.

Awesome Place!by Yahoo | 2008-06-18 17:50:00 |

I loved Boatyard! I went there as a Crew member from one of the cruise ships that docked their weekly this past spring. It is fun, lively, and yet relaxing enviorment!

Great Place !by Yahoo | 2007-10-21 01:56:19 |

We reacently spent 2-1/2 of our 7 day Barbados vacation at the boatyard. My children and wife (whom I bought a ticket for) had a great time. Friendly and accommodating atmosphere. We all enjoyed the big clean beach, trampoline and iceberg as well as our catamaran cruise. I highly recommend the boatyard to everyone. One word of advice... don't be a cheep guys, purchase a ticket for your wife. What do you expect. The boatyard is a business... they provide a service for a fee... a SMALL FEE / $15 bucks. Money well spent. I don't know what was up with the NH guy. Party-on boatyard. We'll be back again. Gregg N.J.

I WISH I WAS THERE NOW!!!!by Yahoo | 2007-10-13 03:16:56 |

I dislike nothing and love EVERYTHING! The people are SO nice and friendly! I wish I could bring their niceness and teach some New Yorkers it!!!!

Best beach in the Caribbeanby Yahoo | 2007-10-10 03:42:16 |

We have been all over the Caribbean. This is the best beach anywhere. The water is crystal clear. You can walk out 80 yards and it is still not over your head. The bar next to the beach is great. The drinks are reasonable. If I remember, they had a cover charge, but gave you tickets for a couple free drinks. There is a little restaurnat right next door that serves fresh fish-very reasonable. You will want to spend the whole day.

Our Favorite Beachby Yahoo | 2007-09-28 21:51:47 |

We first came across the Boatyard 3 1/2 years ago while on a cruise and from that day on, it is our families favorite beach to date. This February we are headed back for our third time and my children (ages 7, 9 and 15) are more excited about The Boatyard than the cruise. Ignore the poor review from the NH guest. You will fall in love with this beach! You can't go to Barbados without going to The Boatyard.

Boatyardby Yahoo | 2007-06-30 21:32:31 |

This is the perfect place if one wishes to see how the locals and visitors party together. This happens especially on Friday when there's the after work lime and the drinks are flowing and the locals unwind after a week of work with their friends. After the afterwork lime the club is transformed into a night club where all the partying begins the true Bajan way with the DJ and you party until the club closes between 4-5 a.m. the next morning.

no funby Yahoo | 2006-09-07 21:31:11 |

I found The Boatyard to be very poorly run. We were told it was such a great place to go during the day with kids but we got ripped off. There were no attendants to help us with the rope swing and he grumbled every time we asked him to come over and help us. There was only one water trampoline working and they would'n't let us take out any water toys. My daughter and I bought a ticket but my wife did not and they harassed her every time she tried to sit on a chair and watch us. Someone would come over and kick her off and it was not even crowded. She ended up sitting in the sand which was fine, but then when we went to eat at their bar which was not included in the price of the ticket, they told us my daughter and I could eat there but not my wife because she didn't buy a ticket. Dumb sense to me...she would have bought twice as much as the price of a ticket in food. Then after all that, they wouldn't even let my wife go with our little daughter to the bathroom because she hadn't purchased a ticket. Can you imagine? They wanted her to let her go in there by herself at 8 years old. And they stood guard to make sure she didn't go in with her!!! Needless to say I found the place to be rediculous. Mayabe it's different at night but what a rip off. The rudedst people I encountered on the whole vacation. On any of my dozens of caribbean vacations as a matter of fact.
