This free festival celebrated on October 29 is held in honor of Saint Narcissus, Girona's patron saint, and includes numerous cultural events including concerts, dances and street parties. At the same time, there's an agricultural market in the fairground where you can see and buy homemade food items like honey and chocolate. Be sure to visit the old town as well, as it's one of the most beautiful attractions in Catalonia. You can get here by train from Sants Estació or Plaça Catalunya or by bus from Estació del Norte. It's 53 miles (85 kilometers) from Barcelona to Girona.
