Overview
Began in the first century as a chapel, the construction of the present Gothic temple was initiated in 1928. The 16th-century crucifix of the Christ of Lepanto, the crypt of Santa Eulàlia - the patron saint of Barcelona, and the neighborhood Claustro (cloister) are all appreciated by art historians.Open Hours

The facade of the cathedral was under construction when I was there. But I did go inside and it was really nice. A typical European Cathedral. Very richly ornamented inside.
I just love it becuase it is a gods creation ever had made. i just went with tour guide.it is good and i have been to it. It is just the famous landmarks in Spain.
This place is so spectacular that I have to say that it is a "must seen" in Barcelona. It is still under construction now, but it is amazing already. Make sure you take the stairs (sorry, I don't recall how many steps, but a lot for sure) inside the tower. That is a good execrise with a good view.
The Catedral must be awesome, too bad you cant see it!It
