Overview

This state-of-the-art structure was created namely as a basketball stadium for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The entire complex is 168,000 square meters (1,808,336 square feet), and also includes cultural and commercial facilities to be used after the Olympics have reached their conclusion. The well-equipped gymnasium is spread across three underground floors, and four levels above ground, as well as incorporating innovative and environmentally friendly features like many of the other Olympic venues.
