Located near Forest Park in the Lakeview area, The Canteen (directly adjacent to Bombay Cafe) specializes in Continental cuisine and doubles as a cigar and martini bar. The décor is that of an upscale bistro with exposed brick walls and a zinc bar. The food is similar to that of Bombay Café, as the two restaurants share the same chef, except that The Canteen focuses less on seafood and more on beef, chicken and pork entrees.
