Overview

Kelly Ingram Park is a beautiful treasure of sculptures standing in the greens. Formerly known as the West Park, it is located just opposite the Baptist Church and bounded by the fifth and sixth Avenues North and the 16th and 17th Streets. The park contains many commemorative sculptures of heroes who fought for racial equality during the American Civil Rights Movement and later served as the staging ground for the same. Kelly Ingram Park now is a place to come and participate in the many festivals and programs that take place throughout the year.
