This temple of Bolognese film reels is the ideal place to rediscover the fascination of the great cinema classics. At the Lumière you can watch cinema greats, director's cuts, as well as attending one of the many audiences with producers or directors and cinema critics, who meet here for premier screenings or debates for university students (the cinema has strong links with the department of Music and Film at the University of Bologna). There are afternoon and evening screenings, which are repeated during the course of the monthly program. This program also features retrospectives, film cycles and homages to great personalities of international cinema. Students can buy a reduced rate season ticket, there are discounts for school children and for those in possession of an Agis card. New releases are also screened in the evenings.
