Well what can I say. I thoroughly enjoyed my time aboard the naval ship museum. The tour can take approximately 1 1/2 hrs, depending on your interest in the ship me and my family took 3 hours! We enjoyed very much the staff were extremely helpful, but we were not sure if it was because my surname was Colbert! :-) Which they found quite amusing!!!!. A lovely gift shop with prices ranging from the expensive to the inexpensive such as wine, t-shirt, or the other extreme of picture postcards, pencils pens etc. The only down side was our then 4 year old became tired after a while and found the stairs onboard the ship too much to cope with. I wouldn't recommend if you have very young babies in prams etc, but if you have older children they will really enjoy Thumbs up from me & I will return!!!!!!!!! Exciting!Not only the ship is itself a museum, huge but with helpful indications for a self guided tour.Are also contained many models of ships and submarines, photographs and technical informations that gives the opportunity to get a look on the french naval force since about 1950 to nowdays.It's full of stairs, and quite hot in the lower level, but I suggest the visit also for children (i carried with me my daugthers 2 and 4 years old): it's full of stimulating stuff !
