Overview

The Black Rose draws tourists and locals alike into a jovial drinking atmosphere. The bartenders here know how to pour a pint of Guinness, and most will have a brogue, too. Dark walls and smoky air give an Irish pub feel. Two floors have long tables for large groups and stages for live entertainment. The noise level inside does get rather loud, especially on weekends when local bands perform. The kitchen serves burgers and sandwiches, although most patrons come for the drinks and music.

I went for my 21st birthday with my boyfriend and a couple friends and being of Irish decent, I loved the atmosphere alot. And everyone is friendly!!!

Everyone talks with a funny accent and thats really fun. The tapped beer made me sick in front of the bar and I only had 2 tapped beers. But when I switched to bottled drinks I was fun. The kitcken looks like it hasnt been cleaned since the Great Hunger Strike but the entertainment is awesome. I will go back for the craic but not for the dirty food

We really enjoyed our meal at The Black Rose and the terrific irish music performed by Celtic Clan . Our waitress (from County Cork)was attentive and helpful and our dinner was quite delicious. Would certainly go back again.

Strolled into the Black Rose for some cocktails before heading to dinner. The drinks were weak, there were four of us, and we all noticed it. Definately a tourist trap.

Their drinks are weak and the waitresses are rude. Even if there are lots of tables available, they don't want you to sit down unless you plan to order a full meal.

On my recent visit to Boston my wife and I stopped into The Black Rose for dinner and had a good meal (I had the Lobster special - whole lobser, slaw and fries for 14.99) along with a pint or two.
