This section of Somerville is very popular as both a place to live and to relax. Although Tufts University is nearby, many residents are young and middle-aged professionals and their families. After drinks, dining option range from the simple—Mike's Restaurant or the Rosebud Diner—to the sublime, at Gargoyles on the Square. After-dinner entertainment choices range from films at the Somerville Theater to live music and bowling.
