Overview
The odd and unusual displays inside this museum are not the only thing that draws visitors to see this place. The building itself is one of the most photographed buildings in the world. Why? Because it is cracked. It was built this way to represent the strongest earthquake in the United States, which occurred in 1812 here in Missouri. Inside, you will find displays of the weird and unusual findings of Robert Ripley, who scoured the world for strange places, people and events.Open Hours
Mo to Su from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PMMy husband and I visited the Ripley's Museum and found it to be an utter waste of our money. Having a root canal could very possibly be more enjoyable. We will never return there again and would not reccomend the establishment to any one else. First off, we paid an entrance fee that could have bought us movie tickets and refreshments. And for what? A stroll through a building where almost everything is hidden back a few feet behind glass so that you really can't get close enough to see it and have to watch a video to know what you are looking at not. Not to mention that it only took us about ten minutes to walk to entire thing. The building did not really house anything out of the ordinary. Nothing shocking or unbelievable. I expected far better from Ripley's. There are many wonderful things that can be done in Branson. Put the admission you would have paid for Ripley's toward something like Silver Dollar City or one of the the many putt putt golf courses in the area or even a show ( Dixie Stampede is quite fun if you don't mind audience involvement and can eat without silverware!)
My children are 8, 12 and 16 and we all enjoyed the many things to view here.Theres alot of reading and smaller children may get bored but mine definately enjoyed it.Another good thing is they allow photography. Many places in Branson dont. This museum is fun, educational and a great price if you buy the family package.
Too expensive and very boring. Mostly full of junk from all the no-names that have a theater in town. Never again!
I love it was very intreged by the items and would love to go back and like to look over every thing agian to learn more
Everything in Branson is a little too pricey. I've lived in Mo. all my life (boring). Once you go to Branson, you have seen everything and it will always be the same stores, same outlets, same shows......Ripley's was okay for a hick wax museum, however too much money for the little time it takes to go through it. Your probably thinking I work for the Chamber of Commerce!!! ha ha ha
Lots and lots of items and information. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Seems like the admission was a little high. I enjoyed this attraction very much.
The first place we went in Branson was Ripley's and I took lots of pictures, but it wasn't somewhere that I would visit twice, unlike The Butterfly Palace. You should go, as long as your trip is over 3 days long. If you can fit it in with other interesting stuff, do so, but don't make it your main priority.
We love the Ripley's Museums...It seems each one is different. If ripley's is your thing, do it. If not...take your Branson Bucks someplace else.
Theres alot of very different interesting place. The kids loved the guess the answers that is located throughout the building. Take your time and read things....very interesting place....would go through here again...
The price of admission was a little to high for the amount of activities. the kids were not impressed enough to want too go back again .
