Overview

A visit to the historical downtown district of Branson should be included on your itinerary. This picturesque lakefront district has shopping, entertainment, dining and lodging. You can obtain a map of the district from the Mainstreet Association that will guide you through your stroll. One of the sites you will find is the historic railroad station, where you can hop the train for the Branson Scenic Railway tour. If you get hungry, there are a number of places to dine, including Dimitri's Gourmet Dining.

Go to downtown and then to Branson Landingby Yahoo | 2008-04-29 21:45:06 |

I would recommend this much more than the strip. go to Branson Landing, best if walked at night. And make sure that you see the fire and light shows on the Landing. It is WONDERFUL..We found that everynight we were down there walking and people watching. We loved it and I recommend it to all

CROWDEDby Yahoo | 2008-03-27 15:37:53 |

THIS PLACE IS SO CROWDED. TOOK 30 MINUTES TO GET DOWN MAIN STREET. BASS PRO SHOP WAS COMPLETELY ON THE OTHER SIDE. THEN WE HAD TO GO BACK THROUGH THE TRAFFIC TO LEAVE.

You must see Dick'sby Yahoo | 2007-07-18 01:39:09 |

Very crowded not the easiest to park but you have to stop at DICK's 5&10 there will be something there you need or have been looking for. Great helpful service!

Downtown is better.by Yahoo | 2007-05-09 21:24:00 |

Everyone should visit Dicks 5 and Dime in downtown. Just like the downtown stores of your youth and a reminder of general stores of yester year. Then head to Branson Landing for the lights and fire show in the fountain. Great places to eat and some good, popular stores also. Great for the family visit.

Spring and Fall 2004 trip to Bransonby Yahoo | 2005-10-02 22:59:32 |

I've been going to Branson twice a year for the last 18 years. Of course it has gotten more crowded, but not overwhelmingly if you time driving correctly. Don't be on the roads when the shows let out. Restaurants abound and are generally clean and inexpensive. I enjoy the fall colors and the down-home feel of the ozarks. Plan ahead for hotels. After all these years I still enjoy going there.

Fun for allby Yahoo | 2004-10-19 16:22:55 |

There is a little of everything there for all people. Inculding Antiques and new shops.
