Do it once.. that's all.by Yahoo | 2008-05-23 04:08:37 |

I went there a few years ago and this past summer so my boyfriend could see. They had new exibits, which were cool to see(The Jack Sparrow exibit and more), but some of the other ones looked a little old (the Titanic exibit didn't look like it was kept up with well. She looked melted) It is a little pricy, but if you think how hard and time consuming it is to make the figures so detailed it makes sence. It's a good experience if you're there to see the sites. It was very memorable for me, and I still remember many things from my first trip there. Bring a camera and you can take fun pictures.

I had never been to a wax museum before so I had a lot of fun. It was kind of expensive for the amount of things to look at. Some of the figures looked so life like and some ( the Mash cast) were really scary looking. I would recommend this if you have never been. Having seen it once I probably wouldn't pay to go through again.

HORRIBLEby Yahoo | 2008-05-01 21:32:24 |

It costs too much for a twenty minute walk through and hardly any of the wax figures were kept up to looking like they were worth the price paid to see them. Very disappointed vistor.

AN AWFUL TOURIST TRAPby Yahoo | 2008-02-25 08:26:22 |

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone due to a terrible attitude by staff. First, the museum's exhibit is poor for the price they charge (almost $17). Even most museums with world-class arts collections charge less. Second, and most important, this is a type of place where you are 'trapped' by lack of information. They do not display rates upfront, and one can easily go inside through the museum store believing it is free when the staff is not upfront (and I did go in). They would then demand you to pay when you exit. When I refused, the guy threatened to call the police. I agreed to the police option before paying, as the guy (a staff member) was non-agreeable and rude. The police, though, could hardly help me, as their role was understandably, to enforce the law, in this case to ask me to pay the relevant amount to the museum, and I had to do this. I asked the police to force the museum to display the rates upfront, but I am not sure they can do this. I demanded the staff guy to do this, and he only said they MAY consider it as an option. If you decide to visit the museum after all, pay attention as to whether they display the rates as a result of my complaints (on this site and elsewhere). My strong suspicion is they deliberately do not display the rates to attract more tourism to this small museum run by a rich business (they also have a museum in California and somewhere else); this is a VERY BAD business practice. I would have never gone in had I known the price in advance. The staff member was also rude in general by stating smth. like "you always have to pay for everything in life" and "you are stealing from me by refusing to pay". Whether true or not, he simply should not say things like this to customers. Most important, the rudeness of the 'front guy', the excessively high entrance fee and the bad business practice of 'trapping' tourists (in the last two cases, undoubtedly, related to the business in general and not just to one person) have all contributed to my bad experience in this museum that spoiled a much nicer experience of staying at a very pleasant and clean small motel the night before on a short stopover in Branson, MO (I was there off season and not specifically for Branson tourism, just stayed overnight). I now wish I visited something else during the couple of hours I had. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to contribute to this business or to visit it.

LOVE THIS PLACE!by Yahoo | 2008-01-20 00:38:44 |

My daughter and I visit the wax museum every summer. Make sure you bring your camera. You will want to take lots of pictures while you are here!

GOOD TIMEby Yahoo | 2007-06-12 19:13:26 |

MY WIFE AND I HAD A GOOD TIME AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND THEY HAD QUITE A FEW CHARACTERS TO LOOK AT. WE WENT AT 9PM SO I CROSSED OVER EVERY FENCE AND HAD MY WIFE TAKE PHOTOS OF ME RIGHT NEXT TO THE MOVIE STARS AND VICE VERSA ON THE STARS SHE WANTED NEXT TO.

Not Enough Bang For Your Bucks...by Yahoo | 2006-08-30 13:23:46 |

Visited on August 15th during a recent vacation with the missus & in-laws. It's an eye-catching building from the outside, but the inside seems somewhat cramped (as soon as you step beyond the turnstiles, you're right as the "Wizard of Oz" display.) The wax figures inside ranged from dead-on likenesses (Burt Reynolds & Jackie Gleason from "Smokey & The Bandit", a recreation of the poster image of Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster & James Garner from "Maverick") to mediocre (Charlie Chaplin, Reba McIntire, Russell Crowe, a grouping of U.S. Presidents) to downright pathetic (Cher, Patrick Swayze, Joe Montana and a rather ragged looking Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers). The scenes/tableaus in the museum were an odd conglomeration. For example, you went from The Monster Chamber (a personal highlight of the tour, myself being a classic horror film buff), to Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford & Sean Connery) to Anthony Quinn, Gregory Peck and David Niven from "The Guns of Navarone" to the pro sports exhibit (?). There was an elaborate wax depiction of DaVinci's "The Last Supper", but the scene wasn't functioning properly, as it was undergoing lighting and audio adjustments at the time. On the whole, I felt it was a decent enough museum, but it was somewhat overpriced, given that things seemed so cramped and sort of tossed together like they were...

If You Like Wax Museumsby Yahoo | 2006-07-24 02:21:57 |

One member of our family loves wax museums so we always go to them. She liked this place. It was a hot day and the air could have been on higher. All the figures are in their own setting. The entire MASH cast was there. I would only go there if you really like wax figures.
