Overview

In the bustling heart of Fortitude Valley's Chinatown, Asian House offers an enjoyable and no-nonsense Chinese dining experience. Host Alan Chiu knows that excellent food is what counts. This small restaurant is always crowded, to the point where you will often find yourself rubbing elbows with the person at the table beside you (which is half the fun!). The food is amazing, with both the Ma Po Bean Curd and the Shark's Fin and Crab Meat Soup which are local favorites.

We enjoyed the food very much, it was plentiful delicious and cheap. The tea was brought to us imediately we arrived, it tasted great. Alan and Eddie were excellent hosts and we were made to feel very much at home. On the way out we asked some other diners how there meal was and they said they go there all the time, so that's where we will go when in the Valley We have eaten at other places in the Valley, but for Value we liked Asian the best, it is very simply decorated but clean.

Restaurant isn't 'fine-dining' but for a fantastic, cheap meal - perfect! Go for the salt and peppered calamari and the soy chicken. I would have to say this is one of the best asian restaurants in the China Town Mall. Definetely on the favourite list.
