Overview

Up until the epic restoration in 1994, the brick docks lining the old port of Buenos Aires remained abandoned. The area now thrives with modern residential and business lofts and offices, bars, restaurants, an eight-theater cinema complex, and a university while retaining the original English redbrick facades. The 15-block area runs over two kilometers (one mile) along the river bank dotted with fine dining, such as the Parolaccia di Mare. Two historic ships from the Argentine Armada, the Corbeta Uruguay and the Fragata Sarmiento, are moored along the walkway as floating naval museums.

I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but ask anybody in BA and they will know. They had the best bread, wine, SALMON, and service I have ever ever ever seen or tasted.

Nice View and great beefsby Yahoo | 2007-12-09 01:10:31 |

You can walk near to Puerto Madero a classical place at Buenos Aires and have dinner at many restaurants located near the river. Of course you must ask for a classical Argentine Beef, it is more than a normal piece but you will enyoy the meat. If you go To Argentine you have to eat a piece of Argentine meat (It is the tipycal national food) The name Argentine cames from Argentum what means "Silver" (Ag). So you cant leave Argentine if you don´t know "Rio de la Plata" (Siver´s River). This is because the colour it takes during the days , specially in those days when there´s no wind

The best food in B. A.by Yahoo | 2007-07-12 23:03:27 |

Puerto Madero is prety much for tourist. That doesn't mean it doesn't have some great places to eat. The one that I found to be out standing was CHILLA at Av. Alicia Moreau De Justo 1160. The Chef is formlly trained in France and Spain but is from Ar. The food was out of this world, so good I went back two nights in a row. If you like fine food you can't miss this place.

If you are looking for a great steak go to Puerto Madero. There are many great steakhouses from which to choose. My favorite is Happenings.

Puerto Madero - Great nightlifeby Yahoo | 2007-01-03 15:19:06 |

It is absolutely amazing. Has many restaurants to choose from, my recommendation "Asia de Cuba". This restaurant specializes in international cuisine, it's also very trendy. There is a club inside so if you feel like dancing after a nice dinner you can do so. You can sit on the tables outside and enjoy the view of Puerto Madero's bridge designed by world famous spanish architect Mr. Calatrava. There are security guards all over the place and Puerto Madero is crowded almost every night of the week.

Madero Tangoby Yahoo | 2006-05-27 20:33:00 |

I recently came back from a trip to South America, and it must be one of the best vacations I've been on in a while. Why? Because South America is so amazing, and it has many things to do! One of those things is Madero Tango. The name kind of gives away what it is. It's a tango show in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. The show is based on the four colors of the Tango, a dance that originated in Buenos Aires. The colors are white, blue, red and black. You enter the building, and your breath stops. With one of the best views of Puerto Madero in the city, it's perfect for an evening's entertainment! Once the host/hostess has seated you the show begins, with a culinary adventure. You choose your meal and in about 10 minutes it is delivered, course by course. By this time the fabulous show has begun. One thing that may worry some non-Spanish speaking tourists is that many of the staff speak little or no English. Enjoy!
