Overview

This gallery is located in the former home of the owners of a large ranch, with 35,000 square meters of land, set aside in what is today the modern area that borders the Francisco de Miranda Avenue between Altamira, La Floresta y Los Palos Grandes. For the exhibitions that are presented there, 230 square meters of colonial interior space are used, without any previous modification, distributing the pieces in an irregular and yet harmonious fashion. No matter what the exhibition is about, everything is perfectly integrated into the environment. This center is fundamentally dedicated to three-dimensional design, graphic and industrial design and photography. It was created in 1995, as part of a program promoted by the Cultural Action Department of Petroleos de Venezuela.

Open Hours

      • Monday to Friday from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM
      • Saturday to Sunday from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM

Art Oasis in the Heart of Caracasby Yahoo | 2005-03-19 14:46:58 |

Conveniently located in the center of the city of Caracas, next to the Subway system. Set in an oasis of centenary trees and gurgling streams right in the midst off the bustling city, this exceptional setting for a Museum used to be an ancient "cafetalera" i.e. coffee plantation. A must if only to enjoy one of the few remaining jewels of the "old Caracas". The shows are varied and of high quality, and are happily broadening from the Center's original mission of showing photography and design to include a wide gamut of well chosen exhibits including high level international art exchanges, and a refreshing focus on Venezuelan crafts (artistic jewelry show scheduled of December)

        a little bit of heavenby Yahoo | 2005-02-25 19:54:26 |

In the middle of the crowded and disordered city of Caracas, you can find a little piece of heaven, once you walk into this place, you suddenly get away from the surrounding city noise and atmosfere and get into a garden, where the birds sing and the trees welcomes you. Then inside there's the gallery, a beautiful colonial house where the art goes in.
