Overview
With all the vintage auto memorabilia hanging on the walls of this place, you will think you are back on a racetrack in 1910. Dine on the heated patio, which has a great view of the valley, or have an indoor feast. The place somewhat resembles a gas station, but the margaritas are dynamite and it serves up a wealth of reasonably priced Mexican dishes. There are daily specials and occasional live music out on the patio. The friendly staff attracts a wide-ranging clientele.
The setting with views of the rolling Carmel Valley hills is magnificent. Inside and out, the decor and setup is one of the best I have ever seen around. There's plenty of good, hearty food, and as always, there's an abundance of drinks. Families, couples, whatever, the staff make you feel welcome on every visit. Also, if you're looking for one of the best Super Bowl parties around, Baja Cantina is the place to be. I just went to their Super party yesterday (2/7/05) and it was off the walls! Brandon Lloyd, Cedrick Wilson, and Eric Wright (San Francisco 49ers Football) were there for the event and to sign autographs. Baja Cantina was also using this event as a charity event, which I thought was really thoughtful and added to the feeling of the event. Lots of people showed up because Baja Cantina has the best Super Bowl parties, and other sporting event parties, around. Five-star rating for everything. A high pick in my book anyday. Thanks for the experience Baja Cantina. I'll be back for sure.
