Overview
Owner Jim Butigan wanted to make sure that this perky little gem wasn't so much like a simple coffeehouse that it went out of business. Thus, when you stroll in Pick Me Up Café, you will be greeted with a menu of appetizers, salads, entrees, sandwiches, pizzas and desserts, as well as a full breakfast menu into the wee hours of the morning. The oddly shaped interior is meant to represent the porch of a house, and is decorated to the nines, with colors directly out of the TV show "Saved By the Bell." Occasional live music performances are offered.Open Hours

I love everything about this cafe!! it is the best. its comfortable and just a great place to go the food is great and the time in is open is awesome since im a night time gal type of person..... The best cheese fries and shakes and everything..... LOVE IT!!!
. . . if grandma was a semi vegetarian hippy with kitschy taste in decor, a taste for indie music, and a passion for coffee, that is. The Pick Me Up is my favorite cafe in Chicago. The Hummus platter, the Cheeze Fries, and the Zombie are all must haves at this lovely little northside eatery. Also, they serve italian sodas, which are some of my favorite things in the whole world. If you've never had one, try a raspberry peach italian cream soda, your mouth will thank you.
The best Hummus I have ever had!!! I could pratically live on it!
