Overview

Untouchable Tours starts from in front of the famous Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's to show you the scenes of some of the bloodiest and most sensational crimes in the history of Chicago gangland. One of the most infamous sites is the scene of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. You will get a glimpse of some of the most famous gangland haunts, brothels and gambling dens. This tour is a must for anyone intrigued by Al Capone or the Windy City's dark and gritty underworld past.

Great fun!by Yahoo | 2008-06-02 13:02:26 |

The drivers/guides were very informative in a humourous way so that you found things out without being lectured. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, including the fake gun fights, and would definately recommend it. Suggest you book ahead if possible though.

Worst tour everby Yahoo | 2008-03-27 17:41:55 |

First, the bus did not show up for my group. The made us take 2 of our own busses! the tour was borring and a waste of 2 hours. There was nothing to see except places where something "used to be". Waste of money

Well worth your time and moneyby Yahoo | 2008-03-24 12:45:56 |

This tour is a lot more than just the old gangster hot spots (of which, most of those are parking lots now) This tour is a hoot! The tour guides are hilarious and very informative. This is a very complete tour of Chicago so even if you aren't interested in the likes of Capone and Dillinger this is your tour to see the north side, the south side, Little Italy, Chinatown, and more. Compared to other tours this is very economically priced. The bus is very comfortable and the guides, who switch duties as bus driver and tour guide, will keep you laughing and interested.

Great Mafia Tourby Yahoo | 2008-02-08 21:36:03 |

Went on the Trip last St. Pat's weekend. I had never been on a city "tour", so I was definatly surprise. I love the whole "prohibition era gangster" time of history and this was right up that alley. Learned many things about the founding of the city, and many different spots of the city where Capone and the Irish Mafia had events happen. The games they play are kind of amature, but the overall experience of the tour was great and very knowledgable

horrible...borringby Yahoo | 2007-12-25 05:09:33 |

This was a complete waste of time! We were on a horrible bus for 2 hrs... All the guy did was ramble on about junk that was incredibly boring! At the end we played a game i thought was gonna be fun, but it was some cheesy stupid game. the only good thing was when we saw the bullet hole in the church.

highly recommended!by Yahoo | 2007-10-30 14:38:46 |

we found out about the tour via internet and a gps device, and we are so glad we got to take this tour -- one of our best and most exciting in chicago. the guys gave us a great tour with background music, plenty of historical information and humor! we had a really fun tour and got to see parts of chicago that were until now unknown to us! We really enjoyed the untouchables tour and recommend it to anyone interested in Chicago history, gangster films, stand up comedy, and sightseeing!

Worst Customer Experienceby Yahoo | 2007-08-13 20:37:50 |

Do not waste any time or money with the Untouchable Tour. I've never had a worse experience. I made a reservation - they took my credit card number but did not give me a confirmation number. When I showed up at the correct time and place with my guests, they said they had no record of me, so I must not have made the reservation. They made countless excuses of how it was probably my fault. Meanwhile, their record keeping consisted of names scribbled on a piece of paper. Rather than trusting the customer, they made us call the office who again said it must have been our fault since they had no record of us anywhere. We had to pay cash to go on the tour. When I went home I saw that that my credit card have been charged a week ago, so I called to get it reversed. Like before they were ridiculously rude. They told me they would look into it, and hung up on me. Not once did they take responsibility for their mistake or apologize for the inconvenience. They eventually admitted to having a record of me, and said they had recorded it for the week earlier. (Again, never apologizing for their mistake) Meanwhile, we were not the only ones with problems on the bus. Another couple had been written down for a different time slot that day. With such a rudimentary process, mistakes are bound to happen. I would not have minded if they had gracefully admitted the mistake. Instead, they were rude and hostile through every step of the nightmarish process.

limeys like itby Yahoo | 2007-05-13 18:29:24 |

Coming from England and brought up on Eliott Ness we decided to take the tour, we were a bit concerned that it would be over the top and how wrong we were. We can honestly say the tour was great value for money taking us to parts of Chicago we would not have dreamed of going to, the guides Al Dente and South Side were a hoot and very imformative about past and present Chichago. All in all a great way to spend a couple of hours and if done at the start of a trip there is no better way to orientate yourself to this lovely City.

A Must-See tourby Yahoo | 2007-04-20 17:34:56 |

If you've never been to Chicago, put this on your list, especially at the beginning. This is an awesome way to see the entire city (so you can know where to go later) plus it was funny and educational. Going again in a couple of weeks with a group of teens.

Fun for this family...by Yahoo | 2007-04-10 13:24:55 |

Our family of 4 - ages 40, 15 and 12 - were a bit skeptical about taking this tour, but thanks to places like this site where reviews are offered, we made the reservations and don't regret it a bit! Sure, it was a bit cheesy, but I think that is part of the charm of the tour. The bus was there to meet people a 1/2 hour before the tour was to begin, so we knew where to be. We were well greeted by the guides and felt comfortable climbing aboard. There were plenty of laughs if you were paying attention to the guides. There was history and site seeing that just being a visitor to Chicago (many times, even) you would never know otherwise. The bus took us through parts of Chicago that we had never been through, and wouldn't on our own, by the way. There were plenty of additional facts the guides provided that were of interest to us. After the tour and hours later as we discussed our day, our 15 yr old admitted that the tour was a lot of fun, he learned some things and thought it was "way cooler" than he thought it'd be. If you want serious and HIGHLY educational, this is not the tour for you. If you are looking for a neat way to see Chicago and learn of some of the gang history in a fun setting, make your reservations!
