Joe Champs is Cologne's best known sports bar. With a big screen and many smaller screens often showing a several different events at once, American food, and plenty of shouting and cheering, this is a good place to go and watch a game. This sports restaurant also has a warm feeling to it even for those who are not into sports with its wooden tables and red and white checked tablecloths, busy but exceedingly friendly service. The drinks aren't especially cheap, but if you're going to sit there for two hours it's not a bad deal. The convenient location on the ring, at Rudolfplatz, means that it's usually pretty full. There are plenty of burgers, sandwiches and salads to go with the excellent drinks served here.
