Overview
Designed by Oswald Mathias Ungers and opened in 2001, the neo-cubist Wallraf-Richartz-Museum is the perfect backdrop for this breathtaking exhibition of post-15th century European art. The exhibition is based primarily upon the collection of Ferdinand Franz Wallraf which includes Medieval works from Germany and Holland, 17th century pieces from Italy and Spain as well as some stunning examples of the major 19th century schools (romanticism, realism and impressionism). The exhibition is augmented by the Josef Haubrich collection of expressionist art. A must for all art lovers.Open Hours

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!
The quiet atmosphere inside makes this particular museum interesting. Not a lot of people get in, maybe because it's not as popular as other places around the world, or the collection is not as vast. The Rembrandts, however, are a real treasure to behold! It's an experience that will forever be etched in my subconscious, and one I will always long to go back to. The city of Cologne is as beautiful as it's people.
