Overview
Cologne's Roman past remains constantly present. Just by making a shopping trip along the Hohe Straße, which runs down from the Kölner Dom to the business centre of the city, you are walking in the footsteps of the ancient Romans. The modern-day Hohe Straße follows the course of the former Roman main street, the cardo maximus. More recently, the Hohe Straße was the first completely pedestrianised roadway in Germany.Open Hours

I AM A REGULAR VISITOR TO COLOGNE AND THE SHOPPING IS GREAT,TOP QUALITY HAND MADE SHOES FROM
I spent a week in Cologne and one of the greatest and most memorable moments I had was a treasure hunt for a pair of pink and plaid converse high tops. Searching with a friend, we cruised up and down "High Street" looking for them. They are there, but we couldn't find them. The atmosphere is amazing! and yhou literally are watching the world go by. International flair meets the Old City of Cologne on High Street. It is a great place to find more modern items, but if you're looking for more traditional German style souveniers, you'll have to look elsewhere.
