Definately go here! I love this park! It consist of various terrain and is about 500 acres in the middle of Colorado Springs, CO. I have ridden my horse all over this park (on the trails of course). The park folliage changes with the seasons you can walk on short and longer trails, but bring water bottle it can be a long walk if your not prepared. I do not like the discourteous mountain bikers in the park as they do not should yield to horses and stay on the marked trails (they have suddenly appeared out of nowhere!). These persons have destroyed fragile wild plants and forged new trails. I do not mind the courteous moutain bikers at all. I do love the absolute quiet you can find there in the middle of a city. I have seen the following animals in this park: Elk, deer, wolf, coyote, fox, lots of birds, and lots of flowers. To see these things you must be patient and quiet. The view is spectacular from several areas of the park. There is a children's playground built by the Denver Bronco's on the East side and Reynor stable on the West (unless Bob and Nancy gave up and went on.) Enjoy!

How lucky are we in Colorado Springs to have such a beautiful park right in the center of town? Hiking and biking trails abound, as well as picnic areas, a huge playground, dog park, ballfield, and scenic overlook. Keep the park clean and pack it out!!

Perfect for the afternoon bike ride, complete with paved and off-road trails. They are even catagorized like ski runs (green, blue, black) to help keep the novice out of trouble.

Palmer Park is a great place to stop and explore with the whole family. You can even bring the dog along!
