Overview

Partially encased by a one-mile canyon, the sight of seven separate falls splashing together down 181 vertical feet borders on stunning. Picturesque by day, dancing with color at night, this is not to be missed. Ride the elevator to Eagles Nest observation platform for an eye-to-eye view or climb up 224 steps to reach the one-mile nature trail offering a panoramic peek of the city below. Parking is limited and scarce after 6p.

Don't fall for this tourist trapby Yahoo | 2008-09-29 03:31:12 |

This is cute for kids as there is an elevator up to a view of the falls. To enter the elevator you go through a long dark cold tunnel. It is cute but not worth it for a romantic outing. Helen Hunt falls are free and are more spectacular and are in the same area. The steps at 7 falls would be good work out though...242!! And they are steep! Stay away if you are true nature lover and want to see a real water fall that honors a woman of history (Helen Hunt Jackson).

Never againby Yahoo | 2008-09-22 19:33:44 |

I was lucky to have gotten there at a lull in traffic. The wait was long none the less as it took quite a while per car to get the whole story from the gate attendant and there is only one lane. Once inside, it was Ok, not spectaular but a nice hike anyway. The stairway will scare the pants off of anyone with fear of heights as it bounces under each step. And as narrow as it is, you are at the mercy of the pace of those in front of you. The worst part were the employees! Rude rednecks. I think they must all be family. We wanted to warn all of the 30 cars waiting forever to get in to turn around and see Cheyenne Canyon instead! And that one is free.

Don't waste your timeby Yahoo | 2008-08-25 09:53:08 |

If you have been to Niagra Falls, or anything along those lines, its a waste of time. All it is, is a waterfall that hits the rock 7 times, i was totally not impressed, and they make you pay for it. There are metal sculptures in the surrounding neighborhood that is worth checking out though.

I LOVED Seven Falls! Take your video camera so you can record the light changes on the falls! Going at night was definitely worth it. Truly a must see. WE SAW A BEAR IN THE PARKING LOT! Lots of wildlife there, so always be cautious and curteous of the wildlife that inhabit the falls and surrounding areas! Seven Falls will not let you down.

Beautiful!by Yahoo | 2007-09-23 01:07:45 |

Seven Falls was really pretty. But it was a little expensive for the amount of scenery you get to view. Afterward we went to Helen Hunt Falls; it was more natural looking - and free. Still, I would recommend both falls for anyone looking for some great Colorado scenery!

a very romantic place to go for an eveningby Yahoo | 2007-09-07 20:11:11 |

we went there in the evening and the driveway to parking lot sets the tone, with some lights on the hills and flowing water. You can take steps up to be near the falls if you like or you can also take the elevator to view the falls from some 200 ft distance...2 to 3 hours here would be an ideal place to start your evening...

I lived in North Cheyenne Canon for a while and BY FAR Helen Hunt Falls is the best... you can hike up behind Helen Hunt and see Seven Falls for free if you are really that DESPERATE to see this one waterfall hit 7 rocks. I always hated to see people wasting their money, when for free they can drive a gorgeous and historic route up through North Cheyenne Canon and down Gold Camp Road through Bear Creek Park. Save your 9 bucks and fill up on gas and drinks and take a slow drive through Old train tunnels on Lower Gold Camp Road. Then again, all that tourist traffic gets annoying on my driveway that is the main road through North Cheyenne and my ice cream melts before I get home because people are driving 3 MPH to watch the spelndor God created out my front door. Have FUN!

Just passby Yahoo | 2007-06-16 05:16:19 |

After the ride up the winding road, I was antisipating alot. To me 7 falls was a let down. Pretty costly to get in, and actually one water fall that hits rocks 7 times to get the name. Stayed a total of 20 min. Indians were going to dance on the stage, it sprinkled a few drops of rain, so that was cancelled. It as a let down...

NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY.....by Yahoo | 2007-05-23 18:03:42 |

Seven falls is NOT 7 water falls. It is one tiny water fall that makes 7 turns. Car parking is expensive.... Tickets are expensive.... use your time to see better things
