Almost no one visits this island and consequently the beaches are filled with birds and wildlife. Fishing is permitted but since there are no scheduled tours those interested in visiting must hire a boat. For the hearty hiker in search for an adventure there are trails leading from the North Punta Molas Road to the island. Contact the tourism board for more information.

Great Shore Excursion!!by Yahoo | 2008-07-12 01:04:22 |

My 14 year old Goddaughter and I just returned from a cruise on Carnival Glory where this shore excursion was offered. We took the speed boot over and had a blast with the 360 degree turns at 60 miles per hour! It was a thrill ride to be sure! The beach was beautiful. We had access to Kayaks, a Water Trampoline, hammocks, beach games, shopping, and just plan relaxing on a beautiful white sand beach. The buffet that came with the excursion was good and the open bar was wonderful! We were treated to many more tricks on the boat on the way back by our wonderful captain Ricky Martin and his co-captain Miguel. This is an adventure not to be missed!

A few hours in heavenby Yahoo | 2008-06-09 17:31:53 |

We took a Twister boat over to the island for several hours. The beach is pristine-gorgeous white sand. The water is clean, clear, and equally beautiful. The tour we were on provided a full buffet-and the food was much better than we expected!!- as well as an open bar, soda bar, and cash bar for those wanting their open bar selections with a little more KICK. It was worth every penny, and became a highlight of our trip. Hoping to return someday.....

Highly Recommend this private island of Isla de Pasion, or Passion Islandby Yahoo | 2008-05-11 00:53:44 |

The beach is the most beautiful white sand beach on Cozumel. Carnival has stopped offering this excursion and they are offering other outlets. However, you can still make reservations online for the island. I highly recommend Passion Island. I will go back again, whenever I’m in Cozumel. The massage on the beach was the highlight of my trip to the island. You can also relax in the hammocks when the sun gets too hot. The water is so blue. The food was Mexican and the drinks were unlimited. The waiters made sure you didn’t go hungry and get thirsty.

Passion Island Excursionby Yahoo | 2008-03-06 01:05:29 |

The beach is simply the best white sand beach on Cozumel; period. The food was typical Mexican and the drinks were unlimited. There were lots of activities on Passion Island; both for adults who just wanted to relax and for kids who wanted to have fun. Carnival has stopped offering the excursion and they are now using other outlets to promote their "Cozumel, Passion Island Kayak tour" which is the same as the VIP tour that used to be offered. I highly recommend it as it was the highlight of my vacation.

The time of my life!!!!!!!by Yahoo | 2007-12-08 04:19:28 |

Beautiful beaches, and the ocean was so bluuuue. Everyone there worked very hard to make sure it was the best time of my life. The food was also great. I am planning to go again in the summer of '08!

Can't wait to go backby Yahoo | 2007-10-01 19:09:26 |

It was the best of all our excursions. Beach waiters that delivered beer, white sand beaches and beautiful blue water, just like the corona commercials on tv.

Not the same as it used to be...by Yahoo | 2007-04-09 03:02:32 |

I'll start with the positive. Its a beautiful sandbar island that is the perfect escape for a relaxing afternoon. The Bad. Since the hurricane it has actually changed ownership twice. The hurricane damaged amny of the indigineous pine trees on the island. Instead of replacing them with the same trees, rows of palms have been planted, so the look has gone from exotic to tourist tropical. While the new dining facilities are much better organized, they are a reminder of a high school cafeteria. The food is not bad, and the guac. Is pretty good, but they start cleaning up early, so if you are the last group on the island ( everyone goes home at night ), the food is shut off about an hour before, so eat up, or stock up. The same goes for the beverages. There used to be two bars, one on the beach and one in the restaurant. It was an all inclusive open bar. Now it still has two bars, but one is a cash bar with the liquor ( tequila .shots $4.00 + ) and very watered down pre mixed drinks at the open bar with a menu of only 5 or 6 that they make plus the standard corona with lime. My advice, stick with the beer. Originally they had small rest rooms, seperate showers and changing rooms. This has been modified to restrooms with stalls which you can chang in but no place to put your items but on the floor by the toilets. This was not an upgrade in my opinion, but the tile around the sink is pretty. The shower is out by the beach and is not private nor does it have a lot of water pressure. The other addition are the little stores. Originally there were a couple of tents and the proprietors would walk the beach and hawk their wares. It is sometimes annoying but you could haggle and make a game of it. NOW there are these make shift overpriced stores. Take my advice the junk they sell is much cheaper in town and at least you can compare prices from store to store. They also have the addition of a masseur and I think you can get a manicure and pedicure also. A pack of cigarettes, not that I smoke was $7.00 US firm. While I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure the first time around and was so looking forward to it this past trip, I have to say at this point I won't be returning. Its not the beach, or the water, its the total makeover of 'El touristo" island complete with Isla de Passion T-shirts, hats, and other logo items, along with the overall commercialization of what once seemed like a desert isle, not to mention the watereddown open bar selections and the overpriced cash bar ones. For the cost of two shots of tequila you can bring home a whole bottle. This place is no longer worth the price of the ship excursion, or the entrance fee to come aboard. Sorry about the discouraging review, I'm just as discouraged.

BREATHTAKINGby Yahoo | 2007-03-15 17:28:48 |

Out of all the destinations in the carribean I have been to, I still dream of going back to my hammock under the palms on the breathtaking Isla de Pasion. I will be back most definitly.

A true paradise!by Yahoo | 2007-01-30 15:11:50 |

Let's just say that 3 1/2 hrs is not near long enough to soak up the beauty of Passion Island! It is true a paradise! Sure, there was a hurricane that hit Passion Island and the trees are newly planted but that does not take away from the beauty of the white sandy beaches and clear blue waters! The staff was great. Yes, there is a place to tip the lady that works in the bathroom and keeps them clean but to find a CLEAN, VERY CLEAN restroom facility in Mexico, I was GLAD to tip!!!! It was worth every penney!! I can't wait to return and spend a full day at Isla Passion with my children and husband!!! I highly recommend visiting this Island, it's only a quick 35 min from Cozumel.

Relaxingly beautifulby Yahoo | 2007-01-20 03:40:25 |

The ride on the bus was made nice by the excellent tour guide. He was funny and interesting. The island is gorgeous. Everything from the bluest, blue water, whitest, powder sand, incredible food, drinks, drinks, drinks and the nicest staff make this my favorite place. I was there in April 2006 and will be there again in Feb. 2007. I sahred it with my family first and now 11 of my girlfriends and I will be there. Can't wait. Do yourself a favor and go. You will not regret it.
