lots to see at the museumby Yahoo | 2008-08-10 10:56:06 |

My son and I went to the museum. There were a lot of nice multicultural pieces and exhibits upstairs. You can also go to the Nasher sculptural museum across the street. The staff is helpful and the food was good. They are hosting the King Tut exhibit beginning in October. It was pretty cool inside, so wear layers!!!

Great Museum!by Yahoo | 2007-08-20 04:04:49 |

The Dallas Museum of Art if one of the best museums I have ever been to. The Museum has a wide variety of art from Historic treasures to Modern paintings. The Museum covers African Art, American Painting & Sculpture, Ancient American Art, Ancient Mediterranean Art, Asian Art, Contemporary Art, Decorative Arts and Design, European Painting & Sculpture, Pacific Islands Art. Every Thursday night free admission from 5pm – 9pm., and live Jazz music. Also the DMA is right next door to the Nasher Sculpture Center, and Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art Center.

One of my favorite places!by Yahoo | 2007-06-18 15:08:25 |

Whether going for a special exhibit or the regular venue it's a great place to be. I have certain paintings that I love to visit often. As an artist the museum keeps me in touch with what is important in the world of art. Also there is no place like it to do studies of others work.

better in texasby Yahoo | 2006-12-13 18:06:19 |

Dallas is a great place for art. The museum is wonderful but parking does need improvement. The people are great, very friendly, and manners galore. One of the cleanest cities in the states and I've been to a lot. If it was not so HOT I would live there. I want my cake and I want to eat it- TOO! Air condition the whole city.

we don't want to go back!by Yahoo | 2006-11-27 18:31:46 |

Too Expensiveby Yahoo | 2006-11-02 04:50:31 |

The DMA has always had wonderful exhibits, but the cost has become extreme. If they are going to charge such high prices they should open the doors before 11 A.M. so a person has enough time to get their money's worth. The hours are just terrible.

A variety of artby Yahoo | 2006-03-27 13:17:32 |

Overall a very nice art museum, with a variety of art. Kind of a mix of a natural history museum and art museum. I was disappointed with both special exhibits while we visited and did not feel that the additional cost was worth it. I would suggest finding out beforehand what the specials will be to see if you really want to see them. And the amount of closed sections for remodeling was a bit annoying for following the map. A very large museum so bring your walking shoes.

WHAT AN EXCELLENT MUSEUMby Yahoo | 2005-10-02 17:21:50 |

A wonderful experience in a wonderful museum. We enjoy the casual atmosphere and beautiful art. Period rooms for style are also a treat. Don't miss this highlight of Dallas!

Very cool and interesting. It would be a fun place to take a group of people, but also a nice place for a small group. I took some out of town relatives and they loved the local art section. Closes early so start in the morning.
