Memorials to Carl Maria von Weber, one of Dresden's most famous sons, can be found all over the city. The facade of the Semper Opera House, for example, contains a bust of the great composer, but it is the museum which attracts the most interest. Situated in Weber's former home in the district of Hosterwitz, the museum contains numerous manuscripts, pictures and other memorabilia which elucidate the life and times of the great man. A must for fans of opera and classical music.
