Overview

Durban's waterfront is developing gradually so do not expect it to be a Sydney, Barcelona or Cape Town. It is a small complex at the far end of Point Road. It has a fun feel, an excellent view of passing ships at the harbor mouth and, above all, some fine venues for eating, music and drinking. Thirsty's has live music most nights of the week; the Fish Co. has a smart bar and excellent food and Blue Bottles has a great deck upstairs and a viewing deck enclosed downstairs, it is also a nightclub on Sundays.
