Overview

There is always something happening in William Hawrelak Park; the Edmonton Heritage Festival and the Symphony Under the Sky are held here. When there are no scheduled events or festivals, take a paddleboat out on the man-made lake or enjoy it as an outdoor skating rink in the winter. There are heated changing facilities nearby. It is part of Edmonton's group of river valley parks, which form the largest area of urban parkland in North America today. Check website for more details.

Strange,only Edmontonians writes good reviewsby Yahoo | 2006-03-06 03:33:50 |

Me and a few friends that like to read some travel reviews were amazed by all the reviews that seems to be written by their own citizens. Those reviews are false,overpositive.... wow! i think edmontonians know their City is boring and give the impression it's full of bad people, and because of that they seem to have develop a complex ... That Hawrelak Park is nothing more than a park.. Just a big green lawn....

don't miss heritage days festivalby Yahoo | 2005-09-18 13:37:18 |

This park is big, open and has lots of free parking available. It's also easily accessible by public transit. The washrooms are average, but the duck pond and paddleboats are lots of fun. The park also hosts the annual Heritage Festival, which is a free multi-ethnic festival with lots of free entertainment, and loads of tasty affordable foods to sample. There's also a nice playground for younger kids.
