The excursion takes you on a scenic drive along the coast of picturesque Estoril, where Ian Fleming (author of the James Bond series) hit on the idea for Casino Royale. Often referred to as the Portuguese Riviera, it is here you will find Europe's biggest casino. You will also see the colorful Bay of Cascais and the picturesque cliff of Boca do Inferno, Guincho.

Next stop is Colares, famous for the region's wine. From April to October on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the trip down from Colares is made by tramcar. At all other times the trip is by bus.

After enjoying lunch is at Sintra, you'll have some free time to explore the town. You will then continue to Queluz Palace (closed on Tuesdays, when you'll visit  the National Palace of Sintra), a fairytale castle built for Prince Dom Pedro in the 1750's.
