Lake Minnewanka Coach and Cruise from Banff

start date: 2008-08-20
end date: 2008-10-11

A tour of nature! Lake Minnewanka - one of Alberta's largest bodies of water. Cruise on this fabulous lake, traveling beneath the jagged peaks of Mount Aylmer and Mount Inglismaldie, the hoodoo clusters and into Devil's Gap. Big horn sheep, deer, bears and eagles are frequently seen at the water's edge.

Travel from the town of Banff past Mount Norquay, along the base of Cascade Mountain to take a closer look at Cascade Falls. Then, cross a natural glacial formation to arrive at Lake Minnewanka, the Lake of the Water Spirit.

On your guided cruise across the largest body of water in Banff National Park, see the Palliser and Fairholme Mountain Ranges towering above. View Mount Aylmer, Mount Inglismaldie, the Hoodoo clusters and Devil's Gap. Keep an eye on the shoreline for big horn sheep, deer, bears and eagles. A return trip to Banff includes the picturesque Two Jack Lake with the majestic Mount Rundle as backdrop.

This tour is seasonal and only operates from May through to October.
