This is one of the oldest and largest gay bars in Switzerland, in operation since 1956. Guests are mixed, with "all shades of the scene" frequenting the bar, the proprietor notes. He stresses that Barfüsser's previous reputation for being a leather men's haunt is no longer true. In summer, guests can escape the rather dark bar to sit among picturesque old town houses outside and watch life go by. While reservations to eat are not essential, they can be done on the bar's innovative webpage.
