Unbelievably Bad Hotel - Not Luxury Not 5 Star 100 words is nowhere near enough to explain how dreadful this hotel is. Bar & restaurant closed for functions, noise from functions clearly audible in top floor suites, surly doormen, toiletries changed only once in a 5 day stay, room service cancelled once (more than 40 minutes for croissant & coffee!) & once delivered cold food with no condiments or tea pot, no glasses for mini-bar was told to use water glasses from toilet, requests to concierge not acted upon despite asking weeks before arrival, crowded tiny lobby everynight with people attending functions, no in-room movies, was not shown how to use electronic equipment, bathroom noise & cigar smoke from adjoining room - they may as well have been staying with us! I couldn't wait to leave. Would you recommend this to a friend? Don't Know
Why? / Why Not? At $800 to $1,000 a night this place is a massive rip-off! Can do far better for less. I'll be returning to The Park Hyatt for sure.
Will not return I have stayed all over the world and have never stayed in a "luxury" hotel which was so unclean and the satff so unprepared and unable to correct a simple problem - like providing clean sheets
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 26 2007 Very, very disappointed The hotel seemed at first impressive but the lack of attention to detail begins to mount - and most significantly when one is paying top dollar to stay in a high end hotel one does not expect to be kept awake long into the night by the noise from a 'private function' which has also denied guests use of the restaurant, bar etc. More to the point the stories changed about what time the noise would end, and the end result was a lack of respect and regard to the paying guests at the hotel. These things happen, but they should not happen at a high-end boutique hotel and in my view the management at the Windsor Arms is playing out of its league. We will not return.
