GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT
The Outrigger is a super place to stay. The staff can't do enough for you. I've stayed there twice and will go again someday and won't stay anywheres else in Hawaii

location, location, location!
The outrigger Waikiki is awesome... It is in the heart of the action, clean, and right on the beach. There are only a few hotels right on the sand and this is one of them. Not to mention 3 great restaurants including Dukes. Great shopping right outside the back door... High end stores to bargain shopping at the Marketplace. And the people were great! Didn't meet a person that wasn't nice and friendly, especially at the hotel. Definitely would stay here again, without hesitation!

Outrigger REEF on the Beach in Waikiki
Our first trip to the Islands, we were so impressed with not only the Outrigger Reef, just steps onto the beach, but the staff and all of the close attractions were in walking distance. Diamond Head was right out the back door. HOPE TO RETURN SOON !

Good Choice.
We enjoyed the Hotel and the location. The Hotel was nice and was kept clean. We loved the local shoping and all of the places to eat. The beach in front of the Hotel has the best surf and sand for famlies. However, most of the space was taken up with canoes and rental chairs. The valet parking was way over priced and the free internet service was an absolute joke (slow with connection problems).

Centrally Located
The Outrigger is a great smaller hotel. Duke's Canoe Club is a great restaurant and serves a variety of food. It's where all the party happens for the hotel. The hotel offers lots of indoor and traditional activities such as Lei Making, hula dancing, etc. Lots of things for families and singles. I would say this hotel is more for adults as there are not much to do for children. Lots of good eats and bars. While the hotel is right off the beach, it is a small beach space the hotel has because the majority of it is to store the canoes, and rentals. The rooms were average, clean and just relaxing. If you have a beach view, it's better otherwise I would stay out of the room as much as possible. There are not many major bus or tour stops at this hotel, but all of that is just a short walk away.

Going back next March of April
This place was a great place to stay. Duke's restaurant on the first floor and the atmosphere was great. Everyone very friendly. International Market place across the street, next door on one side was the beautiful Moana Surfrider, and on the other side of us was the Royal Hawaiian and a few buildings down was The Cheesecake Factory. Great location!!!!

I've stayed there twice. The first time I stayed the staff (composed of native Hawaiians) was very friendly and I loved it, so I went back. The second time, there were different people (Californians) working there and they were not friendly or helpful at all. The food in the restaurant was horrible and overpriced and the servers were very rude! They looked down their noses at us and I was quite shocked at how rude they were. I will never stay there again.

All-in-all a great place to stay!!!
The only problem we had was the untimeliness of Housekeeping. When we returned to our room at 4 to clean up for dinner, our room still hadn't been attended to. Other than that, we loved every part of the hotel including the restaurants, location, service, and the Aloha Spirit of the staff!
