This popular neighborhood bistro is a welcome spot in the restaurant starved Upper West Side. The setting is contemporary and romantic, complete with dark wood, mirrors and soft lighting. The menu is less trendy than the décor, leaning towards hearty, uncomplicated French fare. Seafood is showcased, but the lamb and chicken dishes are just as good. There is a solid, simple wine list. However, the service can be rushed at times, and the food is not worth a special trip to the neighborhood.
