Back to Fitzwilliam Museum Love the Fitz Family Kits! If you go with children, make sure to ask about the Fitz Family Kits. They are portable boxes with things to hunt for in the galleries. My 6 year old loved them, and we went through all 5 of their different kits on different days. (We were Americans in Cambridge for 2 months.)

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 29 2005 Definitley worth a visit I first went to the Fitwilliam museum on a school trip when I was nine, yet its collection has drawn me back many times. The egyptian rooms boast an extensive, interesting assortment of artifacts and the art gallery has proven very useful on a number of occasions. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgable, and someone is always around to tell about something specific, or the tours are a great way to get through everything and not miss anything. The staff are also very good with children and can keep their attention throughout the whole tour. It is also a wonderful building in itself, the collection inside really looks as though it belongs there. A great day out for both the young and old, definitely worth a visit.
