Ghostwatch
2009-01-01 to 2009-12-31
Ghostwatch is an active program at the Fernhill House, The People's Museum. There have been some weird experiences, all felt by the staff and visitors alike. This includes a blast of cold air, spooky feeling of being watched, lifts moving with no passengers, getting goose bumps, shadowy figures, and fixed pictures falling from the walls. The staff will be more than happy to tell you about the ghostly presence and where they can be found at Fernhill.

A local terraced house from the 1930s is recreated within this museum and you get a real sense of the way Protestant people lived in working-class Belfast at the time of the great Depression. It has exhibitions looking at the Shankill Road (a famous area of staunchly Protestant tradition), Home Rule (a form of limited independence due to be granted Ireland in 1912, fiercely contested by Ulster Protestants), and the considerable role played by Ulster soldiers in both the First and Second World Wars. There is wheelchair access and discounts are available for families and students.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York! Experience New York At It's Finest!JustClickLocal.comdisabled access.
