This is a perfect place to stay!
I am a senior citizen and have stayed both on the Af Chapman and also in the reception building. The ship was fun, but I was younger then!! In February 2007, my 7 year old grandson and I stayed in the reception building because the ship was in drydock. The room was clean. The bathroom & shower were close by. It was quite noisey, however. Breakfast was bountiful and quite good. The value for the price can't be beat! I will stay there again in February 2009.

memorable...
I stayed in this youth hostel in March of 1980, and it was so memorable that here I am in 2007 trying to locate info about it on the internet. It's a great place to stay if you are on a short visit and want to talk a long walk to places like the Vasa ship museum or Gamlastan (museum island). I traveled all over Europe for four months, back in 1980 when I was 21, and this hostel to this day is one of my most memorable stays. Can't remember the details, other than it was so cool... and Vasa is really cool too.
