Stare Miasto, Old Town, in Warsaw is just an amazing place. To visit it without knowing its history you would believe you had stumbled upon a well-preserved relic of mediaeval architecture. To know a little of Warsaw's history you would marvel at the fact that it had survived so well. But to know a lot about 60 years ago you would have to sit and wonder at this amazing place.

What can I say I grew up in Warszawa. There is a lot of coulture and class. Stare miasto is beautiful. Great for a romantic walk and and sightseeing.

We arrived in Warsaw on the wekend and had beautiful weather to travel about the city to see the sites. Farmers were on every corner selling berries. We had the opportunity to enjoy a free concert Saturday night in the Old Square and a Chopin program in the park the next day.

I go to Poland often and I never get tired of the old town...it is absolutely breath-taking and you will feel like you are in a different time.

Recently my husband and I rented an apartment in the Old Town looking out onto the Main Square. It was wonderful. So alive and full of excitement. I would like to do it again and again! I loved it!

The Old Town in Warsaw is fantastic! The recent Jazz festival there was a wonderful event, and the outdoor cafes offer a relaxed island in a sea of activity. I agree with another writer that the area always seems busy, but not overcrowded. I would definitely revisit.

Stare Miasto is one of those places that you can just stroll around in the evening or during the day, and feel the stresses of life fall away..it really is a magical place! the atmosphere, in the evening especially, is so wonderful, you immediately feel like one of the locals, even if you don't speak the language. the Old Town Square (Stary Rynek) is where i spent most of my time, just sitting sipping a coffee or coctail in one of the cafe/restaurants that occupy the perifery of the Square. the place always seems to be buzzing with people, yet never seems overcrowded. i would also recommened taking a look into the churches around, some amazing things to see, really gets you thinking. its a great place for contemplation.

The Old City is Wonderful!!! Especially watch for street performers. They are very fun to watch.

Warsaw is a lovely place. However, I just fell in love with the Old Town. The crowds were cheerful and different from everywhere else I had been. It was totally worth the time that I spent. I actually spent to much time there, but it was worth it.

Warsaw is low on my list of favorite cities, but the old town section, tho not all that large, is by far my favorite section of the city, very much worth half a day depending on whats going on. I would rate Warsaw itself low but the Star Miastro section gets top rating.
