I was so excited to go there because it looks so unique and like a great place to go, but inside it doesn't have that much to see, but the art work it did have was simply amazing I just think it should have a bigger selection of art.

The Weisman Museum is a great thing to do whether in the morning or an afternoon or evening. It took us about a hour to go through everything. My favorite part was the little gift shop. They had a lot of really neat kitchen and household things that I didn't expect they would. Prices are very reasonable.

Those that would like to add a little culture to their trip without being stuck in a museum all day will love the Weisman. This is a one level gemstone of a museum with some really fascinating art that has something for everyone. There was the stuff that I didnt get then a good few pieces that I totally loved and an interactive exhibit that is just great (Id say more but I dont want to ruin the experience for you.) The gift shop has really unique items and for those of you that live in the area, you can rent art! How cool is that!?!

The Wiseman is FREE, you can't beat that. Donations are accepted there, and that helps with fees to run the museum. There is always something interesting and new to see there. If you are an University of Minnesota student, what are you waiting for?...you probably pass it every day on the way to class. (I spent a lot of time here looking at the artwork as I contemplated project I had to complete when I was a student at the U.) As for anyone else, go take a look. It's not an activity that takes too long. I'd say give it a couple hours. There is a large Lichtenstein when you enter, and usually a Georgia OKeeffe on display. The building itself is a work of art. Parking is available right under the museum at an hourly rate, however many of the busses from downtown Minneapolis drop off close by.
