Great experience
I like this excursion because it wasn't a church or a palace. All those things are nice, but once in a while you've got to experience something different.

Great
I loved the fact that no matter how much you try to stay out of the way of the water it never works it was so much fun

Once in a lifetime experience
The different environment from the city is intriguing: so much green and so much to do. The fountains were fun and quite excellent for hot weather and afterwards the trip to the park was refreshing and full of adventure.

You WILL get wet!
I loved the story of Hellbrunn and its builder, along with the fountains that will get you refreshed on a hot Alpine summer day. The smell od the nearby ZOO was hanging in the air when we visited. If you can, hang close to your tour guide - you'll get more out of the tour that way. Crowds can be nuts.

fun,fun,fun!
It was very interesting,as well as a fun place to visit. The archbishop who owned the place was full of shenanigans as you will see.it was also very easy to go there. We took a bus ride of about 20 minutes from downtown Salzburg, bus #25.The place is also adjacent to the Zoo.Please do not miss the steintheater, very cool place.

Great for kids & big kids!!!
Hellbrunn is a fabulous place to visit. Summer or winter the grounds of the palace are so picturesque! Myself and my fiance did the tour in April 2005 - it was great fun and very interesting!! A great tour for all ages, if you don't mind getting wet!! If you have the time, plan to spend even half a day here. After the water-fountains and tour of museum it has beautiful grounds to walk around. Also great if you have kids as there is a playground and lots of green space to play. We loved Hellbrunn so much we are getting married in the Chapel in September 2006 and are also having our wedding reception in the restaurant!!

Abode with a sense of humor
The Wasserspiele at Hellbrunn castle is a sight to behold. The story goes that the owner of the castle was a jovial man and had the castle built around his sense of humor. From the outdoor table that will chill your bottom to fountains and statues that humor shines through.
